It looks a lot like the E.S. Sorensen Ships Lamp.
Take a look here: https://www.essorensen.com/shipslamp2.html

Re: Looking for an oven
I can't believe it has been 5 years since I posted about my quest for a stove. Well the day finally came! I found a used Origo 6000 for sale at a great price and now I'm looking forward to installing it into Ethan Grey. It was in pretty rough shape but I striped the old paint off the sides and polis...

Re: CD 30 prop size?
Hi Bob, I have a Cape Dory 30 with a Volvo MD7A. It looks like the M18 is a 14HP motor, very similar to my Volvo MD7A 13HP. I recently bought a Campbell Sailer, 3-blade propeller. It is 13” with an 8.5 degree pitch. I get a little over 5 knots when pushing the engine near 85% maximum RPM. Props can ...

Lantern oil
For those of us that are lovers of old brass lanterns, finding a no-odor kerosene or paraffin oil is a challenge. I have tried a few and I am very pleased with Lamplight Ultra-Pure clear lamp oil. This has the least odor of any paraffin or kerosene that I have found so far. I have a few Perko lanter...

Re: Is Face Book Killing the Forum?
For myself, and possibly many others, the years 2020 - 2023 have been a major disruption. What I thought my plans were in 2019 were completely wiped out by the uncertainty of the last few years. 2023, I hope, will be a year of renewed activity on my boat and on this board. I was fortunate enough to ...

Windlass - Orvea Monza / Italwinch Giglio (clutch cones)
Does anyone have an old Orvea Monza windlass? I think it is basically the same as the Italwinch Giglio. Which may be almost identical to the Lofrans Royal. The only one I can find info on is the Lofrans Royal. I found an Orvea Monza for $50 locally and picked it up. I knew it had issues, but I thoug...

Re: Any Ham operators?
I finally ended up getting an ICOM M802. I hope to have it up and running this weekend, if my PL-259 connectors come in...and I pass my General test. I was listening to the Pacific Seafarers' Net last night on someone's SDR relayed through the internet and heard KD6XU Ma Kai out of Pago Pago in the ...

Re: Fuel quality question
When I bought my boat, I didn't know how old the fuel was and was reluctant to motor it to its new home. Instead, I bought a diesel fuel canister and a plastic, manual transfer pump, disconnected the main fuel inlet line at the tank and sucked all the old diesel out. I then replaced it with fresh di...

Hi there, I am interested in these for my CD30. I really would like the depth sensor display as mine has deteriorated. However, the whole kit would be a welcomed addition. Would you mind instant messaging me with how much you're looking to get for the whole set? I'll PM you a message as well Thanks,...

Do you have it listed online anywhere? Does it have an MD7A? Any pictures?
