Traded
I just traded my CD22 "QT" for a CD25D "Saga Blue" (Saga). Saga needs some work and I am sure I will be seeking much advise in the coming weeks. Both boats are in Charleston. We hope to have both boats hauled by the end of next week. "QT" will be delivered to her new ow...

This is probably a stupid question but why cant I take off the old step base and send it to someone like Buzz Ballenger at Ballenger Spars and have the installation holes match the old step Also, my brother used to have a MacGregor 26X--i...

mast raising
My brother had a MacGregor 26X and raising the mast was easy. I dont have a drawing of it an my description would not be helpful but stepping and unstepping were very easy. Here is a link to the manual where the rig is pictured and discribed. http://www.macgregorsailors.com/manuals/Mac26X_Manual_200...

teak
After looking at a lot of products and looking at pics and reading posts on this board I have decided to go with Honey Teak. Zeida (a poster on this board) has a CD33 in Miami and she says it works great. It looks great and lasts a long time in S. Fl. sun. Look up her posts. I have had a little bit ...

teak oil
Below are some pics of my CD22 with teak oil except the grab rails and they are in cetol.
I cleaned the teak and applied teak oil. It did not last long in the southern sun.

That said, it was very pretty.

HONEY TEAK
Hi, My brightwork situation is getting a little complicated--but based on what I read on this board, I purchased Honey teak. Teak oil is very easy but it lasts about a week in our southern climate. The previous owner of my boat used cetol and it looks orange to me. I have put some of the honey on-- ...

Nicro vent
I love my nicro solar vent. It does a great job. One was installed on my CD22 when I got her. It did such a great job we replaced the vents on my husbands 40' Colvic Victor with the nicro solar. Here is a photo of mine: <a href="http://s206.photobucket.com/albums/bb146/ftrapp/QT2/?action=view¤t...

I agree with one poster who suggested you get a CD22 instead of the CD22D. Mine is in great shape and for sale or maybe trade? :D I am in Charleston and our currents are such that I would not want to sail without an engine. I don't know what the conditions are like in Savannah (I understand Beaufort...

My boat is 90 miles away and I am trying to purchase gaskets for the portlights and light bulbs. To get the correct gasket, I need to have he measurements of the glass in the portlight. Spartan suggested that I may need 11 X4 but he was not sure so it needs to be measured. Also Any idea on what type...
