Oh,
We will be out of town or I would photograph her for you. If you let me know where she will be, I will try to have someone get some pics for us.

Wapoo Cut
Chase, I can understand your concern about Wapoo cut during Snow Bird seaon. We have been on the boat (Colvic Victor 40) for the last week. Charleston weather has been fantastic! I can see the entrance of Wapoo cut at Stono River from the boat. Every morning this week from 6:30 am to 7 am I have my ...

CD25 Trailer
SeaHunt, As you know, my day job is not messing with boats. Add to that, my Ben is the real sailor in this family and I depend on him to fix everything--which I think he can. I asked him about the trailer. I will pass on what he said as best I can--he thinks it is very doable. He thinks you just put...

Ty trailer
SeaHunt,
Tracuman's offer seems very reasonable. It's not that far. You will probably want your own trailer, but for now rent his, move the boat and start SAILING!

ICW-Charleston
I have a CD22 (Hull #12) she is at the old Stono Marina (now St. John's Yacht Harbor), any way I am down on weekends and sometimes during the week. If you plan to come to Charleston and you want to anchor out in the Stono or dock at St Johns let me know---can get you to town and back if needed. (Wil...

transporting a Ty
Doesn't someone have a suitable trailer for a Ty in Fl? I'm in SC and I would go (and its a long way) but my only trailer has a boat on it with a 5 1/2' keel. I'm trying to buy a smaller trailer but that could take a while.

hull speed
I wasn't talking about 35 mph :D Don't know what hull speed is on that boat but-- he probably will not make hull speed under either sail or power or a combination of the two for the entire distance (average)--a stout stinkpot can make it happen. It was just a thought -- If the boat moves--it will mo...

getting home
You know SeaHunt, I agree with Gary--you should excersie caution. I don't think that I would sail 100 miles in an 18 (or 19?) foot boat that I just met. Do you have a friend with a stinkpot? A stout motor boat could make short work of that 100 miles. It would take a lot less time than sailing her bu...

CD or Catalina
I sail a Cape Dory 22. When the wind is up and I head toward the boat, my dock neighbor (who sails a Catalina 270) asks if I am going out. I say, "I don't know it's blowing pretty good." He responds, "but she is a Cape Dory!" When I arrive a strange marina the first thing the doc...

Cdtol
I just purchased Honey Teak--following Zeida's lead. Look at her posts -- she says the Honey Teak lasts and looks great. I know that it was the old cetol, but the previous owner put cetol on the hand rails on QT and they look awful--like they are painted opaque orange :( I am not sure how I am going...

Builder's Plate Placement on a CD22
I just received my bronze builder's plate from Bristol Bronze but I don't know where to put it on a CD22. Roger at Bristol suggested in the cockpit behind the tiller. Is that where the original was? Did they really mount that plastic one? :?: My plastic one was in the drawer in the galley. I saw an ...
