Spreadsheet with Universal M-30 5424 Part Numbers
My husband was on the forum recently and came across a post that had a 3-page spreadsheet that listed all the part numbers for the maintenance items on the Universal M-30 5424. He cannot locate it again. Is anyone familiar with it? If so, where can that spreadsheet be accessed? Thanks for HELP!! Becky

Re: Cape Dory 31 "Fair Wind" For Sale
The owner of the beautiful yacht, Donald Brand (a Cape Dory Assn. member) sent me some additional information on Fair Wind this morning. I am including it here. He also indicated that he is flexible on the price. "The boat was reconditioned at Lankford Bay Marina near Rock Hall. Work completed ...

Cape Dory 31 "Fair Wind" For Sale
Our boatyard neighbor is selling his beautiful 1985 Cape Dory 31, Fair Wind. He was asking us today if we knew anyone who was interested so I suggested he post it here. He wasn't sure how to do it, so I offered to post a link for him. We have seen Fair Wind and it is obvious how much love, care, tim...

Re: Sail Care
Another thumbs up for Sail Care. They did the sails for our CD-28 as well, and did a beautiful job. We sent them limp, lifeless, dirty sails and they sent us back crisp, white sails that were a joy to use. Unfortunately they were not able to do the same for the dry rotted sails we sent them for our ...

Omnia Oven
Does anyone use an Omnia Oven or Wonderpot for baking aboard. If so, with how much success?

Re: At long last, its time to say goodbye.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your boat. Even though you were already planning to sell her that is still a sad way to end a long association with a fine vessel. Maybe a Typhoon would fill your future needs. They are so much fun, quite low maintenance and can be trailered home for the winter.

Re: Owner of CD-31 Fair Winds, Middle River, MD
I would look at the Taco website. They are probably the largest producer of rubber rails and insets. After identifying what size and style you want, you could then order it from any of the their distributors. (I know that West Marine handles the Taco line.) Good luck! I have checked Taco's site, an...

Owner of CD-31 Fair Winds, Middle River, MD
We met Don, the owner of the CD-31 "Fair Winds" at Maryland Marina a couple of weeks ago and were complimenting him on his treatment of the rubrail, which had a rubber molding over it and stainless steel. Much more practical than the bare teak. Don, we are hoping to get the name from you o...

Re: It's over
Our engine comes out, again, today to be rebuilt over the winter. The shrink wrap goes on in the next two weeks sometime. Saturday I am going down, probably for the last time, to pattern all the settees and bunks so I can make new cushions over the winter. Other than that we hunker down, buy more ge...

Our boat is already on the hard with all canvas and sails removed and mast down. I still don't feel comfortable.

Re: Gelcoat crazing getting serious
We have the same issue but since we plan to paint our decks is no big deal. We will use a Dremel to open the cracks up into a groove, fill with thickened epoxy and paint. Those in the non-skid area will hopefully be concealed with the new non-skid paint. We also have a couple that are starting to cu...

Re: Bean Bag Chairs
Thanks for mentioning about the filling. I plan to make a liner out of muslin or and old sheet or something for an extra layer of protection. And I'll be sure to do the filling away from the boat!!

Re: Bean Bag Chairs
After reading your mention of the bean bag chairs in another post last week I started a thread on Cruisers Forum just to see how many people use them. I was surprised at how many people say they wouldn't sail with out them. It surprised me mostly because we have been sailing for so many years and I ...
