Re: Tiller pilot install
Hi adamganz, Having had to correct a lot of electrical issues on my boat, my only advice is that you really need to look at your owner's manual for the proper installation. No problem connecting to the battery, but you will be maxed out by ABYC standards with the four connections directly tied to yo...

Re: Aqua Signal MS 25 Combination Steaming/Foredeck Light
Cliff, If you still have your old light, you can replace the two fixtures or just the lenses. They are Perko lights and replacement lenses are available if you search for them online. This thread will have all the model numbers and information that you need if you want to go back to your original se...

Re: Installing main halyard winch and fairleads on cabin roo
Roberto, If you want to thru-bolt all the way through the deck and the liner and forego the large hole and the teak trim piece, you can prevent compressing the space between the bottom of the deck and the liner with a stainless steel spacer slipped over the bolt. You would have to drill your holes i...

Re: Installing main halyard winch and fairleads on cabin roo
Roberto, Here are some photos that might help. They are of a CD25 but I would guess your 25D would be similar In the first two you can see the gap between the headliner and the bottom of the deck fiberglass. There is a backing block and washers used to bolt the hardware to the deck. You can locate t...

Re: Replacement galley sink--cd 27
I found an exact replacement for my CD25 at Katom Restaurant Supply. The dimensions on mine were 11 3/4" x 9 3/8" x 4" deep with a 2" drain. https://www.katom.com/002-1318.html They also have one a bit larger and 6" deep https://www.katom.com/002-1319.html You'll be surprise...

Re: Need to know pipe size (diameter) for a CD25 sink thru h
Hi Adam, The sink drain thru hull on my 25 is a 3/4" thru hull. The inside diameter of the thru hull determines its size. if you remove the gate valve and measure the inside diameter of the thru hull at the open threaded end that will give you the thru hull size. For reference the outside diame...

Re: How to test Mast lights when the mast is down
dgsail,
You can also use a 12v lantern battery to check the mast lights or any other 12v circuit. I purchased one at Ace Hardware, but they carry them at Walmart and Radio Shack also. They come in handy for testing anything that requires 12 volts.
Good Luck,

Thanks for the info John,
Looks like I'm going to have to move the trailer and dig the hole.
I appreciate your quick response to my post.

CD25 Rudder Removal
Anyone know how much clearance from the bottom of the rudder to the ground is needed to drop a rudder on a CD25? I have about 17" on the angle it would drop, but I don't think that will be enough room. It needs some fiberglass work around the rudder post and I'm trying to decide whether it woul...

Re: 1982 CD36 Questions
With regard to the two stern turning blocks, they could be used for your head sail sheets, but my guess is that these are for your spinnaker sheets, which would in turn be led to your primary winches. The normal genoa track blocks are typically to far inboard to provide a good angle for sheeting a s...

Re: Return to the Salish Sea II
David and Roberto, Regarding the cleats on the Halberg Mistral 33 that you were discussing, I believe that they are jam cleats for the sheet tails. The shorter open end away from the winch provides a fairlead around the cleat and the longer lower end allows you to jam the tail in place securely with...

Re: 1981 CD 25 - Seacock replacement - Looking for some advi
Hi hilbert, I've included a couple of photos to help clarify what I'm looking at: I've removed the valve and thru hull from my sink drain and you can see the recess in the hull liner and also the current valve installation for the port cockpit drain. The recess is approximately 3" in diameter a...
