Same here! I even placed an order online and -crickets-. I am searching for alternative sources. Customer service is just too important to me.

Re: Rethinking the Dinghy - The "Portland Pudgy"
Personally, I love the Pudgy, but I got a Walker Bay 8 with a sail rig and I love it!! Super stable, rows and sails well and weighs about 60lbs. I put a 2hp outboard on it and she'll take me anywhere. Add the optional inflatable pontoons and she will be even more stable. If you want to see her, I ha...

Working load on main halyard CD28
Anyone have any idea what the working load on the halyard is? Trying to buy a shackle for it and mystified by sizes. TIA!

Re: Minor hatch repairs
Beware: I got a replacement screw for the arm on my Boat forward hatch and it didn't fit. Not sure why, but I guess I am looking at replacing the whole arm, which is expensive.
I got a new dog too, but haven't tried to install it yet.

Locating anchor rollers and windlass on new bowsprit
Hi everyone!! My CD 28 lost her sprit, so I am starting from scratch. Carpenter helping me has the idea to move the rollers aft for easier access, so I am not leaning out over the sprit wrestling with the headstay and possibly a hanked-on sail if I need to get to the anchor. But I am now looking at ...

Re: Volvo MD7A CD 28 question
Thanks everyone!
Just posted a lengthy reply and got error message. I am not getting notifications on this thread either. Finding this interface very awkward on the phone.
Appreciate all the help! Would love to know where the new spring came from!
Thanks!
Beth

Volvo MD7A CD 28 question
Hey everyone! I have been having trouble with my engine shut-off toggle not working and I was just watching Sam Holmes (his boat has a Yanmar?) and it occurred to me that maybe the cable is not my problem. Does the shut-off lever on the engine have a spring?! Is it meant to pull itself back into the...

CD 28 mast base damage
CD28 mast base damage.jpg Hi everyone, Just discovered this damage on my sweet little Harmony. Can anyone shed light on how this needs to be repaired, and possibly what it looked like originally? It looks to me like there was an aluminum base of some sort, or possibly a ring or sleeve around the ba...

Re: Fuel shut-off failure UPDATE
I had someone pull the toggle in the cockpit while I watched the lever on the engine and it did move, but only slightly. Is it possible it just needs adjustment? Appreciate suggestions on how to go about it!!

Fuel shut-off failure
Hi everyone, So, my last two boats had outboards and my first was too long ago to remember. I know you have to cut the fuel to shut off the engine, right? (CD28, Volvo MD7A) The little toggle you pull to do this is not pulling out or in but maybe 1/8". It's stuck out about an inch. What do I do...
