search terms

I'm sure you know that you can add "meta name" keywords hidden in the web page source file to help it turn up in searches when the domain name itself may not contain the words that people may search on. For example, a while back I started www.PeppyPawsPoochPark.com and included the followi...

Hi there, Winthrop!

I was wondering if maybe you had fallen off the edge of the earth!

How was Sweden?

Welcome back,

Tod

name

I did not change my boat's name, BuscaBrisas, which is Spanish for "Looking for breezes". Actually, there is some motivation to change it because most people I talk with have trouble pronouncing and spelling it, but I haven't the heart since it is her original name. I bought her from a guy...

shelter

I elected to buy a carport for my restoration shelter. For your boat, a standard sized one for a car might work, and you could then sell it after you were finished with it if you wished: Defender http://www.defender.com might be a good place to...

I bought a keel off a boat a few years back....

It was a fin keel from an old racer about the size of a J22. Weighed several hundred pounds (700?). I cut it off the boat with a chainsaw (went through several chains; fiberglass dulls a chain VERY quickly) and hauled it home on a borrowed trailer. Cost me $50.

I presume you've experimented...

with the mainsheet, easing or trimming it?

and helm angle?

Other than fooling with those two things, I can't think of anything else. Sounds like you are going about it right.

sounds

like just the thing for a boat.

Any thoughts on whether it will stand up over time to the tough environment?

my nephew bought....

a home-designed/built 30' boat that has an outboard in a well that has a really slick design: the outboard pivots up and a flap folds down to fill the hole, greatly reducing the turbulence created by the well.

Way cool, but it does take a long cockpit to work.
