Ty with torqueedo electric outboard
I can't believe how low some boats are listed this winter.
Must be very motivated sellers.
Here's a Ty near Annapolis with an electric outboard for only $4k

Re: Hauling a Ty with a crane
That's wild!
I can't even guess at the age of that crawler crane.
It almost looked too shallow... but then, touchdown!

Labor Day sail, Urbanna VA
This was her first time back in the water after about 10 years of neglect on the hard. My previous post has some pics that show just how badly she needed attention. http://i.imgur.com/oDyPdTT.jpg The triad trailer worked a dream. Launch and retrieval took us 2 hours each time, mast raising included....

Re: Forestar tiller extension mounting question
Hi Rick, Instead of drilling through the tiller to insert the socket, what about rigging the socket to a clamp that you can fasten to the tiller? Then you don't compromise the integrity or beauty of the tiller. Line the I.D. of the clamp with something soft to keep it from gouging the wood, but grip...

Re: Wanted: Typhoon trailer
Hi, Not sure what your budget is, but for ~$3k you can get an extendable tounge triad trailer which I think many on this site will agree, is the best trailer that can be had. The extendable tounge is a nice feature, because it lets you back the trailer deep enough to launch from a boat ramp. Just go...

Re: Ty hull deformation from trailer
I was gratuitous with the bleach solution.... I hope that's enough to kill the mold spores. That, and I intend to keep things nice and dry from now on. Definitely didn't wear a respirator- in fact i stripped down to my shorts because I didn't want to bleach any of my shirts! got a bit of a sunburn, ...

Re: Ty hull deformation from trailer
Was able to get down to where the boat is parked this weekend. Went to town on the cabin with bleach solution and magic erasers. Those things work great! The mold came off much easier than I was expecting. Quite glad to have the boat in a condition that I wouldn't mind going sailing in. 2 issues whi...

Simply gorgeous. She must be a dream to sail.
I've never seen an interior laid out like that. Are those berths behind the seats?

Re: Ty hull deformation from trailer
Thanks for the tips and tricks, all. Paul, that is an interesting note about the engine cover on your 33. I did not think there would be any give or take in the hull between being on the hard or in the water, but a few people have mentioned to me that glass will 'relax' when it's in the water. Hopef...

Re: VHF Quick Reference
Always say the other boat’s name before your own. At the end of the conversation, simply say “Liability out.” Never over and out, or farewell, or see ya later. radio fascinates me. I've never sailed on a boat big enough to have electronics. I'd love to know more about how and why these protocols or...
