Re: 2023 NE Fleet Cabin Fever Lunch - Save the Date

Carl, great pictures, can’t wait to see the rest of the presentation. Only one week before the Cabin Fever Lunch. Registration was quick an easy. Looking forward to seeing everyone and to enjoying a beer and some great Newick’s seafood. The 2023 season is just around the corner! All the best, Bob

Re: 9 Apr 2022 - NE Fleet Cabin Fever Lunch - details now on

Thanks Cathy.... NOW IS a great time to register for the CDSOA NE Fleet Cabin Fever Lunch! Hard to believe it's been two years since the last one. You must be suffering serious withdrawals from Newick's great seafood! All signs point to great weather (the weather in April is mostly always better tha...

Re: 25D vs. 27

Hi Jeremiah, Thanks for access to your pictures. Congratulations on your new 25D. She looks like a fine specimen. I’ve had my 25D almost 9 years ago and have no regrets. 25Ds IMHO are perfect for single handed coastal cruising and day sailing. There must have been several originally sold in your are...

Re: For the old salts--What is this

Hi John, I'm just old....I haven't earned "Old Salt".....But I came across this ad from an ebay selling vintage celestial navigation accessories....I think it is a US Power Squadron LHA Aries Computer? But since I'm a celestial navigation illiterate.....maybe someone else can explain it's ...

Re: Minor sailwork needed…recommended lofts in New England

I’ll second Keith’s recommendation of Squeteague. Mark spoke at the first CD NE Fleet meeting that Susan I attended. He’s really knowledgeable and he and Julia are good practical sailmakers. We gave them a try for our next sails. They did a great job on a our working jib and 130 genny. Mark suggeste...

Re: CD25D traveler

Hi Tom,

A few years ago I installed a Garhauer track on my 25D and this board was a huge help. Here's a thread (I hope) that may be helpful....Roberto insisted it be documented :) http://www.capedory.org/board/viewtopic ... r+traveler

All the best

Re: 1 GM Fuel Pipe Leak

Hi Gary, I have a 1GM in my 25D. I’ve had a little experience with 1GM fuel line leaks…they can be a pain. First thing to do is get a copy of the parts list for the 1GM. The diagrams help. I got mine as free download online. Your Yanmar dealer will also have one. The injector high pressure line is a...

Re: Rocna Anchor for CD25?

Hi John, Just one data point...I've been using a Rocna 10 (10Kg / 22 lbs) as my overnight anchor on my CD25D for about 2 years. So far I've had no problems with it and it sets very well here on the Maine coast. I decided it wasn't necessary to size up to the next size Rocna for the same reason Dee p...

Re: LOOKING FOR CD 25D

If your heart is set on a CD25D, try looking for one with a trailer. Triad makes a great trailer for the 25D. I keep my boat in Maine, but I bought her in Duluth, MN and trailered her back East. A modern 1/2 ton PU with a V8 & anti-sway/load leveler will handle the weight of a 25D. So you don’t ...
