Re: Cape Dory 22D For Sale
I would be interested in seeing additional photos of your 22D. If it is still for sale, please send photos to don@clinedesign.com. Thanks very much.

Showers
Our CD 31, with an aft head opposite the galley, has a hand-held shower much like those found in campers. With 84 gal. of pressure water and a waterheater, it makes a nice arrangement.

Help When You Need It Most
I wanted to say how much Lorraine and I enjoyed meeting those who attended the Oyster Bay Float-In over the Fourth of July. It was our first CDSOA gathering and I assure you, it will not be our last. The event was the high point of our 593 nm trip from Georgetown, MD to Potts Harbor, ME. "Thank...

Marine Exchange
This is one for the Boston area members. Years ago, the Marine Exchange, a used and new gear shop , was located on Rte. 1 north of Boston. It is now gone. I was told by a clerk at the West Marine store near there that the inventory of the Marine Exchange was purchased by someone and they reopened in...

Universal M-25 Overheating
We have (had?) a problem with out CD-31's Universal M-25 engine overheating. It was usually hitting the 220 degree mark after about 10-15 minutes at idle in the slip. After changing the thermostat and flushing the heat exchanger, both of which made little difference, our mechanic removed the hot wat...

Weekender vs. Daysailer
Once upon a time we owned a weekender. It was hull no. 15. The older boats did not have self bailing cockpits which meant that the seating had good "adult" leg room. We installed a gusher hand pump and a 1-1/2" hose with a strainer at the bottom of the keel pocket. This lead to a thru...

Coolant Leak (I think)
We are getting our CD 31 ready for launching. It was purchased last November and after two years of being on land, she needed a bit of work. About three weeks ago, we spent 4 days cleaning her interior and doing other needed work. We returned to her this past week end to finish up and we found about...

June Cruise Plans in DE, NJ & NY
We will be sailing our CD 31 from the Sassafras River in Maryland through the C&D Canal to Delaware Bay, then up the NJ and NY coasts and eventually into Maine waters. We are familiar with Massachusetts Bay, having had our Typhoon docked in Scituate, MA. and points north. We need advice on the e...

Electronic Chart Error
The May/June issue of Ocean Navigator contains an article by Nigel Calder on electronic charts that cites the sub accident. Good reading.

Enjoy Your Typhoon
For six years we owned Typhoon No. 15 and have a great many memories of fantastic journeys from Scituate, MA to Casco Bay in Maine. A Pilot whale breaching beside us, night sails off Portsmouth, NH, feeling our way around in Maine fog... All the makings of wonderful tales. Enjoy! Cheers, Lorraine &a...

Proper Prop
When we purchased our CD31 last November, it had a 13-10 three-blade prop installed that needed reconditioning. Also in the inventory was a 13-13 two-blade prop that I assume was the original prop that was installed by the manufacturer. The boat has a Universal 25 producing 23 H.P. with a Hurth 2:1 ...
