Re: Custom Dual Axle Triad Trailer for CD 22/22D/TY Senior
I have a wonderful Triad built to hold both my Pearson Ensign (22' 3,000#) and my Cape Dory 25D but it requires overbuilding the trailer for the Ensign and the bow portions moves depending on which boat. Triad is WONDERFUL!

25D Cushions Free
I have an original set of Cape Dory 25D cabin cushions that have some life left. They are original 1984 Blue. They are not torn but they are worn. They are better than nothing and could make good patterns. I think you will probably have to pick them up in Winnsboro, S.C. I also have cockpit cushion ...

Re: Tiller/Rudder Alignment
My friend has what I think is the same problem with his Typhoon weekender. I went sailing with him and notice that he was doing some strange things with the tiller. When I took the helm, wow no weather helm at all. In just a few seconds I realized no weather helm, NO HELM! The tiller was turning ind...

Re: CD 22 Outboard Size
My CD22 had a 9.9 nissan with electric start and it was great! I had the boat in Charleston on the Stono and had to go through Elliotts Cut to get to the harbor and out to sea. The 9.9 would take the CD22 through Eliotts Cut at race tide but the freeboard would drop to about 10 inches. I now race a ...

Re: 3 cylinder Beta Engine 200 hours $4000
I apologize to you and others viewing this post. The engine is still for sale but I have not had time to take pics and answer questions as I should have. I have been travelling and so has my husband, sometimes not together. Neither of has had time to take pics of the engine or check the engine for y...

Re: Torqueedo Outboard motor for a Typhoon Weekender?
I use a torqedo on my Ensign, ( 22' Alberg design). I have about a 7 mile range in 5 to 7 k winds. If it is blowing, our range is reduced. That said, I sail if the wind is blowing more. I have 2 batteries and a plug that allows me to tap into my 12v system. I have never had to plug into the 12v syst...

Re: Torqueedo Outboard motor for a Typhoon Weekender?
Get a second battery. With 1 battery, running out of charge was an issue on our lake, but with the second battery--no problem. I also have a plug that fits into the 12v and the battery can run off of my 12v as a last resort, have not had to use that feature. Love my torqedo

You are so right! I have such a hard time doing that. I think it is because every time I measure it, it is different that the last time. So I keep on measuring!

Re: I think I've found the perfect tool...
Hi Joe, Port gaskets were one of the first repairs I did on Saga. I had done them on my CD22 before her. I cant remember how I got the old stuff out but I purchased the Spartan gaskets for all. I think you would have to be very coordinated to get straight gasket material as well fitted as the Sparta...
