Would this be appropriate for a Cape Dory 30? Last ditch effort to finish a project I started years ago. Also, does it have a V-Drive transmission?

I apologize to you and others viewing this post. The engine is still for sale but I have not had time to take pics and answer questions as I should have. I have been travelling and so has my husband, sometimes not together. Neither of has had time to take pics of the engine or check the engine for your answers.
I hope to get some answer next week, along with pics. As for whether it will fit in a Cape Dory 30, I can get you the dimensions of the engine but I do not know the dimensions of your engine room

Did you buy it used? Otherwise if it didn't fit in your CD25, how does it have 200 hours on it?

I have not used it
However a friend has asked that I hold off until he know if his Compac 27 has an engine issue
This engine was pulled from an Annapolis 27
