Soap
I believe Carl Alberg meant for CDs to be white. I have seen the mistakes people make when the Awl Grip their hulls/decks and use harsh cleaners like Simple Green to clean them. All they do is ruin an expensive paint job. Awl Grip has a special “no harmâ€

Does anyone have ant experience connecting a GARMIN 420 chart plotter to an ICOM IC-M422 VHF radio for the DSC function? Connected the "BLUE NMEA 1 OUT" lead of my GARMIN 420 GPSMAP to my ICOM IC-M422 VHF radio "NMEA IN LEAD" and entered my MMSI 9 digit number into my ICOM radio....

unused CDs
There are two Cape Dorys on the hard at our Marina. The CD30's owner died and the owner's kids don't even check her. The CD28 is in worse condition. I've been after the Marina operator for us to go in together make an offer on them, clean them up and sell them.

CDs in our harbor
Gabbiano spent a year "in the barn" fixing her deck while I was in Iraq. I launched her a couple of weeks ago and got a bunch of remarks about "is that a new boat and who built her"? The folks in the harbor just won't belive she is 27 years YOUNG! Gabbiano even has a new Furlex r...

I have one on my Staysail forestay. Never use it. It makes it easy to stow when I fly the Genoa.

Wiring
Being an old Western Electric guy, rewiring Gabbiano was quite simple. I simply tagged the old wiring and ran new to the components. I moved the new panels to the Starboard storage area above the ice box, soldered all the terminals and splices and it works like a charm. I did the same thing on my pr...

Repalced the existing system with the Garhauer Traveler system. Lines lead to cockpit. Very strong system when wind picks up.
Garhauer people very easy to work with.

I updated my 12volt and 120v power in my CD30C and the old ones are available at not no cost for anyone that wants them. I also upgraded my Traveler System and the Traveler car and End Stops are also available at no cost.

Kofe Ground Sailors
My first boat was a Cal 29. I sailed that boat all around the Chesapeake Bay for over 20 years. I sold her in 2005 and sorely missed sailing. So, in 2006 I bought a 30' Cape Dory and will do the same thing until I can't any longer. We have a lot of new big boats in our harbor that rarely leave. We c...
