Another transportation option
I recently bought a boat on a trailer in Madison Wisconsin. I live in North Carolina. I hired a transport company to trailer the boat for me. They have big diesel pickup trucks and lots of experience. For what they charged me (about $1000) I don't think I could have done the job myself, considering ...

Cruising on a really tight budget
I'm not saying this is a solution for everyone, but check out what a pair of very intrepid and determined cruisers can accomplish when they set their minds to it. The size of your boat need not be a hindrance.
Check out Dave and Mindy Bolduc's web Microcruising site.

CD25 standing rigging question
The previous owner of my CD25 substituted a variety of non-standard hardware (mild steel hex bolts, stainless steel machine screws) for the chainplate clevis pins. I obviously need to replace these ASAP. I'm presently not near my boat and can't measure the clevis pin size I need to order. I also can...

Thanks for the input everyone
Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. Here is what I've decided to do about my problems. 1. The stern rail. I got a quote from Tops-in-Quality for a new rail. They already had a drawing for a cd-25 stern rail on file. The cost will be $535 plus $130 for shipping. I'm still awaiting a quote f...

CD25 needs a temporary home
I would like to find a mooring site or an inexpensive slip for my new CD-25 somewhere on one of the numerous creeks off the lower Neuse River in North Carolina. I'm not quite ready to commit to a particular marina for slip rental. I'd just like to get a used to the area before signing a one year con...

I'd lve to see how you solved the short berth problem
Andy,
Please send me a photo or two on how you solved this problem. I'm definitely open to suggestion.
I plan on joining the fleet just as soon as I can and I'll stop by to pay a visit next time I'm coming to Oriental.
Thanks so much,
Ned

I'm still learning how to use this board
The previous reply was from me, not some unidentified guest. I forgot to log in before replying. Oops. Also, I used the search function to look through old posts and discovered the answer to my question about getting a stern rail fabricated. It seems that the Tops in Quality company located in Michi...

I'm a new CD-25 owner
I just put the downpayment on my CD-25 today. I'm pretty excited. I'm planning to rent a slip at the Matthews Poiint Marina on the south side of the Neuse River in North Carolina. This forum was instumental in giving me lots of useful information in choosing the right boat for my family. Thanks ever...
