Re: Model G full restoration with wood trim
My apologies. That's the slang I use for them. Not Cape Cod Shipbuilding, which is another company entirely. I am referring to Pleasant Bay Boat and Spar Company. [url]http://www.pleasantbayboatandspar.com/hurricane-sloop.php/url] My understanding is they now own the mold to the Typhoon and in their...

Re: Wanted to buy - Typhoon trailer
No luck on the used market. Every trailer seems to have a Ty to go with it. I'll probably buy one from Triad. Since I'm spending quite a bit on this restoration, I want it to be safe on the trailer. I'm planning on keeping the boat a long time anyway. Download the information from Triad and you migh...

Wanted to buy - Typhoon trailer
I'm looking for a solid Typhoon trailer to take delivery of a boat I am restoring in Ithaca, NY. It must be a float-off.
Not needed till May but willing to take delivery immediately.
Any help to find one is appreciated.
Many thanks.

Another typhoon trailer question
Hi Everyone, Is there an option for a Typhoon trailer that does not involve $4000 for a Triad Trailer? While I understand they are probably worth the money, I'm not sure I need that much trailer. I am having a daysailer (model G, open cockpit) brought back to life by the guys in Ithaca. Other than g...

Single handed Typhoon tiller
Can I ask the group for their experience using a typhoon single handed, as I must do? Securing the tiller to take down sails, etc is my main concern. I have seen (not used) devices like the tiller clutch but there must be a tried and true solution from the old school that works without the help of y...

Re: Typhoon outboard mount
Also, I assume by removable bracket you mean this: http://www.rigrite.com/Hardware/Motor_B ... r_mnt.html
I think it is a great option and I thankyou for the lead.

Re: Typhoon outboard mount
I do not have tides to contend with. Good point. I'm sailing her on Lake Bomoseen in Vermont. Its a freshwater lake that is just the right size for a typhoon (and vice versa). Anything larger would be silly. I have considered a small trolling motor and I think it would be plenty for the job. I'm sti...

Typhoon outboard mount
I am launching a typhoon and will be sailing it on and off the mooring since the location allows for that. Yet I have resigned myself to the fact that an outboard may be necessary for some chores like taking the boat in and out of water, etc. I hate the idea of an outboard and bracket cluttering up ...

Re: Typhoon trailer
I think building one is out. I seem to be able to build furniture, but when I get involved with anything that includes metal and wheels its a disaster. I like your point about storage costs.
