Re: Typhoon berth size?

Thanks everyone for the replies. Good things to consider.

Maybe best to focus on getting my current boat fixed up.

Typhoon berth size?

I've been thinking to get a Typhoon so I can get out and sail once in awhile while I fix up my current boat. I tried looking but didn't find an answer. How long is the Typhoon berths? In case I were to overnight or lay down to take a break, it would be nice knowing whether I can fit being 6'5" ...

Craigslist find, Typhoon -$450

Just browsing Craigslist and found this listing. No trailer, no mast.

Listing removed - Cheap Typhoon in Annapolis $500

Not mine.

Just browsing Craigslist and saw this there. Needs a lot of work. If I had the space, time, money, I'd consider a restoration project like this.

Typhoon - Zephyr

I don't own a Cape Dory, but I admire them. Walked around a big marina boat yard a couple days ago early in the morning. Enjoyed seeing all the boats around. Funny enough, when I saw one I really liked the look of, looked for the HIN and saw it was a Cape Dory. But the one I thought really st...

Re: 4th of July, Washington DC

Looks like a good spot to me. I'd like to take my boat there near DC sometime. I drive over the 495 bridge to get to my boat and usually see some boats sailing the Potomac.

Re: 1979 CAPE DORY 27/SL

FYI, Looks like the owner listed it again for $2500 this time. http://annapolis.craigslist.org/boa/5695772913.html At this price, it's tempting but I got too many projects on my current boat, that I don't need another project. -------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Yanmar 2GM Rebuild

Cliff, Since the bulk of the work I did was on the head, an inspection of that couldn't hurt. I would suggest seeing if you can get a camera like what's used to inspect plumbing. I'm not familiar with your engine but if you can inspect the head through the air intake or from the exhaust side, you co...

Re: 1974 Typhoon "Baggy Wrinkles" on the market!

First Mate and I are putting our "itty bitty" yacht on the market My first thought on the title was... Wait!? What!?! She's a beauty and I have enjoyed following your adventures on your blog. I hope she finds herself in a new home with just as much care as you have shown her. Now, I'm int...

Yanmar 2GM Rebuild

While I admire Cape Dory's, I instead own a Nor'sea 27. It was in need of quite a bit of work when I bought the boat. I removed the engine from the boat to replace the fuel tank under it. I thought I could clean up some rust and repaint and it would be good. But when I started looking closer, I deci...

A little rough around the edges, but I'm sure she would clean up nicely. Hope she doesn't go to the breakers.

Nice winches!

They do look better without the chrome.
