Re: Northeast Move

Welcome to Rockland. Spruce Head Marine in South Thomaston is the place to go if you want to work on your own boat. I've been a customer for many years and currently have 2 boats there. A cd typhoon senior which will be for sale and a Hinckley pilot 35.

Re: Hauling a Ty with a crane

Peter,
I was going to ask you if you needed a tow over to Clark Island or up the Keag river, but I guess you're all set.

Re: rigging recommendations

I know Loric ( aka Larry ) and he knows his stuff. He worked at Lyman-Morse and other sailing outfits before going out on his own.

Re: mooring gear

Check with Toby Wincklhofer. He lobsters out of Camden harbor and also does mooring work. He put new bottom chain on my mooring this past summer and he had the chain at a reasonable price. 691-0062

Re: bought a Ty Senior

My Ty Sr., hull #49, does not have a bilge pump installed in the bilge. Could this have been an option when new? She's in the Keag River now, but getting hauled out tomorrow at Spruce Head Maine.

I had the same problem with a new Yamaha 2.5 outboard. The dealer put an inline fuel filter in and the problem was solved. :D

Re: Do typhoons snag lobster buoys?

The answer is no. I am a lobsterman and a typhoon senior owner. The only problem you might have is with your motor if the prop is in the water.
