"a circumflex"
OJ, I don't know how you did that, but I think it's great! When you figure it out let us know so we can change our set up to receive similarly!

motors
I have a Yamaha 4 cycle 4 hp long shaft and think it is great. Quiet, starts easily, and has a tank on the motor to keep things simple. Simple is what makes Ty's so beautiful.

dogs and cats
What is the difference between a dog and a cat???
My dog looks at me and thinks, " he feeds me, shelters me and cares for me -- He must be God."
The cat looks at me and thinks, " He feeds me, shelters me and cares for me --I must be God!"

collect at the source
This one is right in my wheelhouse -- I have been building furniture for a living for the past 30 years. The best thing to do is collect at the source. Buy a good sander-dust extractor combination. My recommendation is Festool. If you have never used one you will be amazed at how efficient they are,...

Nights at anchor
SurryMarks post mentioning he spent 20 nights at anchor this year made me curious about others. So to to expand upon Barfwinkles' surveys, how about others? I spent 2 nights at anchor on my Typhoon this year and I am thinking that really equates to 20 on a CD 27... but that is another topic!

Thanks Duncan -- I have never looked at the registry before. There are many more CD's out here than I thought. I think Bob really needs a 27 -- Don't you?

All these beautiful East coast 25D's-How about Puget Sound?
Sure love to find a 25D I didn't have to spend 3 grand hauling cross country. Any Puget Sounders ready to move up? Maybe the one in Colorado was as close as I'll get -- too late. There sure are some beauties in New England -- maybe it is my duty as a CD fan to get more of them out here where we can ...

launching
we launch and retrieve our Ty like this all the time. Back the trailer down to the water, block the wheels and put down the tongue wheel, then attach about 40' of chain between the truck trailer hitch and the trailer. backing into the water is slow and easy and we have found a line attached to the t...

Well I'll have to jump in and agree with all of you. I sail in Puget Sound with the Olympic mountains on display to the West, Mount Rainier to the South and Mt Baker to the North. We seem to get a nice afternoon, early evening blow that easily gets the Ty to 5 knots -- and then it just stops, the su...
