Re: CD25 Repower

Sorry, Carl and Mgphl52 could not disagree with you more.

The Tohatsu 9.8 is perfect for the 25, especially in Buzzards Bay.

Boatpix

Diana and I had pictures taken from them back in 2005 between Narragansett Bay and Cuttyhunk. It was expensive, but well worth it. High quality pics.

The sail warehouse sails are good. We purchased a main , and a genoa from them about 9 years ago and they still look great. We got the power tip main, which is their better one with 2 top full battens

Glad you like it!

Mike, Thanks for the thumbs up. It was a lot of work, but I think that it was worth it. I appreciate your comments. I thought that the ID guide (in the back) would be a great addition for an on-the-boat resource for identifying and tracking Cape Dorys as we meet them on the water. So I included it i...

1977 ?

Are you sure that the boat is a 1977 ? To the best of my knowledge (correct me if you think I'm wrong) A few things caught my attention, but the two things that really stand out is: 1977 had a bridge deck.(yours does not) and 1977 used plastic ports and the earlier years used Aluminum port. Your HIN...

Carefully...

The only thing that removes dried on TeakGuard easily is laquer thinner. Use it sparingly, don't let it puddle or stand on your gelcoat or you will damage your finish. But if you use only a little on a cotton rag and wipe it right off with a dry cloth, you should be fine. Nothing else works on TeakG...

New meaning to the word "Water Front" property

The lake that is normally 125 feet from my front door is now beating at my front door step. Literally.
The ENE or NE wind is pushing the water uphill.

David, The best way to contact other Cape Dory sailors is join CDSOA. Joining is easy and can be done on this website. If you are a member, you should have a Membership Directory that CDSOA publishes every two years. The next one will be available 05/10. It has listings by fleet. This years director...

No more UGLY yellow CD25 hatch

First, thanks Cathy (and crew) for making this forum. You've inspired me to get a photobucket account and post a project. If you have a CD25, you probably have (or once had) an UGLY yellow forward hatch. Well last spring we decided to do something about it... We cut out the UGLY yellow part, built a...
