Leaking seacock at through hull fitting on Typhoon
Just launched Typhoon Weekender which I have owned for 5 years. While putting everything together at mooring I noticed a slow seaping leak at the base of one of the seacocks where the through hull fitting is attached with a tightning nut. The threads are rusty. In retrospect there was 2-4 quarts of ...

CD 31 Wolfeboro
It is for sure a CD31 and periodically the boat is at Wolfeboro docks offering rides for $30. I don't know the owner, but the boat is in great shape up close aside from some glazzing of deck.

This sounds like great idea especially for the land locked folks on Winnipesaukee. Sundays are best for me.

Your boat looks great! It sure is nice to have a "fleet" to race. I'm interested in your hull mounted depth gauge. What is the brand and how well does it work? I'm reluctant to make holes in hull where they don't belong. Thanks, Tom

Mooring line
I live on Winnipesaukee where there can be heavy winds and waves. For my typhoon, I have a hard shell buoy where the mooring chain passes though the buoy. The 3/8" mooring chain is secured above the buoy with a 1/2" shackle. This shackle attaches to a swivel which then is attached to 12 ft...

Nissan/Tohatsu
I was looking to buy new outboard last fall as my old Johnson was nothing but trouble. I considered the Nissan/Tohatsu motors on line as the prices are good. However, when I looked into local service for these engines, I couldn't find any local dealers and I live in the lakes region of New Hampshire...

Has anybody had experience powering a typhoon with an electric motor. I've seen one Minnkota motor with 50lbs of thrust. How does thrust compare to HP. How long will this electric motor run on a good battery charge? Thanks

Mooring
The chain off the attachment on bottom should be attached to galvanized swivel. The chain should be appropriate for size of boat. I have always used a sur-mor T3C through chain buoy. The chain passes through the buoy and is attached to a larger shackle that prevents chain falling through buoy. I the...

First time launching typhoon. Any thoughts on shroud tension. I've been told not to make them too tight due to downward force on cabin top. I am not sure what is too tight. Thanks Tom
