Hello Becky and Lance:
Thank you very much for thinking of me. It is very kind.
I looked very carefully at your website (blog

) when you first posted S/V Sojourner for sail. She is very nice. More important, there are comments from people on this board that have dealt with you. They speak very highly of both of you. That is more important, at least to me, than all the photos, promises, and assurances in any "for sale" ad. When I bought S/V Tadpole in April 2008, I was cautious of the seller because I did not know him. Now, candidly, I would buy almost anything from Rob Roberts, sight unseen, because I now know him to be an honest, trustworthy person. With very rare exceptions I have found CD owners to be very nice, honest and trustworthy. Conflicted and often reluctant to sell, yes, but honest and trustworthy. Coming from my world these are important qualities in a person.
Unfortunately, I do not believe I have the skills, training, experience, etc., to handle a CD 28, especially single handed (which is what I will be doing 95% of the time). Sailors like Neil G., Stan W., and many others are all very experienced ocean sailors. A CD 28, or even larger, is ideal for them. I think I would be getting in over my head with a CD 28. I am searching for a CD 25D because, although I think it also above my skill level, I am hopeful I can "grow into it" with a lot of time and effort.
Again, my sincere thanks for thinking of me.
