Re: Slip or mooring fees
In Saugatuck, Michigan, at Tower Marina, I pay $100/foot per season for a floating dock with no water or electric.
It is a nice clean marina with a pool and party room. Lots of parking too.

Track for mainsheet traveller.
I am wanting to add a manual positioning mainsheet traveller to my Typhoon. I need 41 inches of 1" or 1 1/2" aluminum rail. Cars (non-ball-bearing) are available everywhere online but the track, I am not seeing it.
Does anyone have a source?

Re: Message from webmaster re: Problems with the message boa
Hello,
I just joined in February/March and have no idea about what is going on, as I have no access to the Masthead article among other things. Something about reorg?
How may I assist?
I have skills in providing computer tech support and network setup.

Re: Ty Sr Trailering
I would remove it. The stress from bumping along for 500 miles is not nice to fiberglass.

Re: Lifting Typhoon off trailer with Ubolt in keel.
It worked! We used a chain hoist attached to the bolt embedded in the keel and it was strong enough (after 42 years) to lift her off the ezload trailer. She was emptied of everything but did not hang straight up and down, there was a good bit of yaw. It is not the center point fore and aft, nor side...

Lifting Typhoon off trailer
Hi all, I want to sand and paint the hull under the trailer bunkers. There is a heavy U bolt in the keel, accessible under the bilge cover. Was that designed to lift the whole boat up? Also what is the best way to clean the topsides where the old registration numbers have left a yellow imprint? HD b...

Re: Convert a Yamaha F4SMHA outboard to remote shift/throttl
Thanks for the responses. My concern are: A. I am not as spry as I once was. B. doing the "Rosemary reach" to advance the throttle/shift and steering via tiller in a current docking is not always "safe." C. Safety is no accident Possible I just need an extension for the throttle ...

Convert a Yamaha F4SMHA outboard to remote shift/throttle
Hi all, Newbie here. My newly acquired Typhoon came with a Yamaha F4SMHA outboard. It appears a bit ungainly as well as dangerous to sit on the transom to control the engine while steering with the tiller. So, I am researching kits to allow me to remove the tiller arm from Yamaha and add a remote co...

Wanted Cape Dory Typhoon and trailer - Found one
I am looking to purchase a ready to sail Typhoon on a launching trailer within the next 4 months. By ready to sail I mean I'd like to sail it as soon as I get it to my home, so sails must be whole, motor must work, winches, rigging etc in place. Small issues are not a deal breaker. Call 616-990-6300...
