Re: Wish to buy a CD 22, CD 22D, or a Typhoon Senior
We have had a Typhooon, SS23 and a CD25D. We sold the Typhoon in favoer of the SS23 (we had to pick 2 of 3). We sail in Marblhead area and the extra length and weight of the SS23 is a big benefit over the Ty. Both fabulous sailing boats. Cockpits the same size. We only daysail the Ty and 23 so cabin...

Robinsong Salem?
We sailed alongside what seems to be an absolutely lovely late model Cape Dory 25 today off of Marblehead. I snapped a few pictures as everyone should have at least one picture of their beautiful boat under sail. I think she must be moored in Salem Harbor as I have not seen her in Marblehead Harbor....

Hamilton Marine $12.09 for the pair

They are oarlock safety chains. Got some in last week for our oarlocks and they are the same as the portlight chains. You may need to shorten the chain a tad.

Move it to the 21st and we're in for Salem or Marblehead.

25D Fuel Line lengths
Pyxis left her slip under power for the first time in far too long this month. It seems, however, time to replace the fuel lines from the tank to the Racor. The boat is 1 1/2 hours away and I failed to measure the lenghth. Anyone replace their fuel lines and have a lenghth within a foot or so? Hopei...

Re: Seeking a CD 22 Trailer
Also look for a Seasprite 23, Ensign or similar trailer. They are all very similar Carl Alberg designs that have the same profile.

Before you sand, scrape or anything else... USE OVEN CLEANER! I have had the best results with real Easy-Off. Gel coat is left clean and with no scraping.
Just do it...

Re: Typhoon Weekender cabin top sag - replace deck?
Here's a link to a few photos. I'll try to find the ones that show the plate going down to the keel. The jack and post BOTH were on the keel not the liner as the photo may imply. https://photos.app.goo.gl/PR2hsjFd2JdEczgC8 Jack in place with heavy duty cardboard rolls (from newsprint) wedged in plac...

Re: Typhoon Weekender cabin top sag - replace deck?
I used a floor jack and a lot of patience. One turn every few days after the initial tightening. I must have a pictures some where but its been a while. At the right height, I installed a stainless adjustable post. When the height was right, I recored the deck. Sweet sailing boat and a very satisfyi...

Re: Repair or Replace Teak Coamings?
I second the rod solution (combined with the hole at the end of the crack to keep it from spreading). I reused the drill bit and leftover rod to shore up a wonky teak cockpit grate.

Re: Porta Potty
We have a porta-pottie on our Sea Sprite -- and as a female who drinks and sails -- it is used a lot. Our old PP was great until it suffered from plastic fatigue. The replacement (from West Marine as I had a gift certificate) is NOT up to the task. It appears to be made from the same mold as the fir...

We used the teak colored Boatlife on our toerail replacement. Would highly recommend.
