Re: Defender’s Warehouse update
I'm sure this a result of their being sold. See https://www.theday.com/local-news/20220 ... -retailer/ for the ugly details.

Re: Cockpit drain valves, educate me please
There is an alternative to the bronze valves made of delrin ( I think that's what it is called). The typhoon senior I just bought has them and they seem to move smoother than the originals.

Typhoon Senior/CD22 mast unstep question
I have lost the mainsail halyard (don't ask). I think I can drop the mast - did it frequently on my Weekender by myself and think this should be doable with 2 folks - but I'm concerned about the bottom of the mast sliding out when pivoting. The weekender had a pivot pin but not in the senior (I assu...

CD22/Typhoon Senior hatch
Anyone know the model number for the Bowmar hatch that came on the Typhoon Senior and (I assume) the CD22? My seals are dried out and I'd like to replace them/rebuild the unit/replace the whole thing (last resort). Tack - Det är väldigt snällt av dig. (Gotta love translation apps - makes you look mo...

Re: Ty Senior Torqeedo 1003CL
I didn't have any fitment issues with the tohatsu 6hp long shaft. (no internal tank and high torque prop) and it gets up to hull speed with less than half throttle. I looked at the torquedo but the price and range put me off. They are quiet though!

Re: Typhoon Senior hull speed under power
Thanks to all for your input. After getting an "at least $1000" estimate from Southport Marina to load the boat on a trailer and another $1000 for the actual move, plus an unknown cost on this end to get it off the trailer I have decided to 'drive it' up the ICW next week with 2 friends, t...

Re: Typhoon Senior Outboard
Thanks to all for your thoughts and experiences. I wound up getting a tohatsu 6 long shaft and added a high torque prop. We tested it yesterday in the southport inlet and it did very well, getting the 22' Senior up to hull speed (about 5 knots) at slack water using less than half throttle. I'm prett...

"carpeted bulkheads" in the Typhoon Senior
Anyone have experience removing the 'carpet" (I don't know what else to call it) that covers the hull interior on the Typhoon Seniors (and maybe others that I don't know about)? I want to remove and replace it with slats. Tips on the removal process if you have worked through it. Thanks

Typhoon Senior Outboard
Does a Typhoon Senior accept a longshaft outboard in the well or should I get a 'regular' length? Also, best hp for said outboard and, of course, any recommendations for brand. Don't need a beast but it needs to be fairly strong, as I do have some pretty good currents to contend with. Thanks as alwa...

Re: Typhoon Senior hull speed under power
Thanks for the info. I have started looking for a hauler to bring it up the road. Too bad, but it would be a slog.
