There is an alternative to the bronze valves made of delrin ( I think that's what it is called). The typhoon senior I just bought has them and they seem to move smoother than the originals.

Agree with adding valves, and dont forget to cross the hoses!

I didn't have any fitment issues with the tohatsu 6hp long shaft. (no internal tank and high torque prop) and it gets up to hull speed with less than half throttle. I looked at the torquedo but the price and range put me off. They are quiet though!

Anyone have experience removing the 'carpet" (I don't know what else to call it) that covers the hull interior on the Typhoon Seniors (and maybe others that I don't know about)? I want to remove and replace it with slats. Tips on the removal process if you have worked through it. Thanks

Does a Typhoon Senior accept a longshaft outboard in the well or should I get a 'regular' length? Also, best hp for said outboard and, of course, any recommendations for brand.
