Re: CD 25D with Triad Trailer
Yikes, I have no idea where Triton came from, and it was consistent throughout the ad. I changed it to TRIAD trailer. Thanks for pointing that out!

Re: Seeking to Buy CD 22, 22D or 25, 25D
I have a nice 25D for sale, with or without a triton trailer, listed here. I originally purchased it in Boston.

Re: CD 25D with Triton Trailer
I am sorry to say that Peter Wallace passed away in 2015. When he sold the boat he had been diagnosed with cancer and it made sense for him to let it go but it was very difficult for him to part with it.

Re: CD 25D with Triton Trailer
The boat is in the water on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI. This boat is the former "Lady Jane" owned by Peter Wallace out of Boston.

Re: Insurance
Interesting that people are having trouble with Boat US. I have insured with them for about 20 years but just switched to Progressive this year. I got way better coverage for less cost.

Re: Tricks for Replacing Yanmar 1gm Fuel Filter
Thanks for all your replies, they are very helpful. The oil filter wrench I was using had a rubber strap that was too big, I will try the wrench you all recommend. Plus I will be turning the fitting in the correct direction this time!

Tricks for Replacing Yanmar 1gm Fuel Filter
I am trying to replace the engine mounted fuel filter on my Yanmar 1gm. There is a ring type fitting on top of the bowl that has to be removed to drop the bowl off the filter. It is stuck on hard and I could not get it to budge with my fingers. I then took a wide jaw pliers to it and that started to...

What is the best value for a Windvane for a 25D?
I had a Monitor windvane on a Vanguard 32 and really liked it a lot, however it was very expensive when I bought it new (20 years ago) and they have gotten more expensive since. I am thinking about a windvane for my 25D and am curious about what others have experienced. If you have a windvane on you...

Re: Composite Mast for a 25D?
I did rig a mast tabernacle, which works OK, but it is at the limits of my wife's strength to handle the mast after it is lowered. It hangs well over the bow after it is lowered and we need a person on each end moving the mast so that it rests on the bow and stern pulpits. A composite mast would be ...

Composite Mast for a 25D?
I am looking into the cost of a composite mast for a 25D to make it easier to handle when lowering with a tabernacle (so my wife and I can trailer it and set it up in remote locations). However I am sure this costs an arm and a leg. Does anyone have any experience with a composite mast for a 25D? Co...

Re: Typhoon transport
I agree that buying a trailer is the best solution, but you might find a cheaper rate to transport the boat using U-Ship. It is a website that allows you to post your shipping job on their website and shippers bid on doing the job. Just be careful.
