Has anyone replaced the shift cable on a CD 36 and have guidance as to the best source or type of cable...(manual says 8 foot 3300 cc...from Northwest Controls but Edson also sells the cables...)? Also, ideas on how long it should take the yard to do the job...ie what is reasonable...? Cable is not ...

Our Perkins 4108 is leaking oil from the rear seal, front seal, and engine pan. We asked the yard for an estimate of costs. They want to get the engine out of the boat to do the work but report that they need to take the engine apart to get it out of the compartment and companionway....which they es...

Does anyone have experience replacing the mounting points for a Perkins 4108 in a CD 36? The engine struts are welded into a pipe that is then fiberglassed to the hull. But, the pipe is corroding. What is the best way to connect the struts to the hull...another pipe? Thanks

Does anyone have thoughts on why the galley handpump won't pump?...pressure system works fine...I open the aft valve under the sink with the aft tank valve open and get nothing at the handpump...this is on a CD 36
