I am looking at the Port St. Lucie area for relocation. Is there anyone on the board that would be able to share some local knowledge about the area? I am particularly interested in areas to investigate and areas to avoid. What about boating in the area? What is the public beach access situation?

I do have in mast wiring which is why I took the mast down in the first place. I'll keep that in mind.

Can anyone tell me where I could purchase a mast step for a CD 25?

I have a TP-2000 and an alternator on my Nissan 6hp outboard. The alternator will not keep up with the tiller pilot even running 1-1.5 hrs to get out of the waterway to sail and the same to come back in. I use a charger to top off the battery occasionally.

I recently read about Sir Francis Chichester circling the globe in Gipsy Moth IV. Very interesting read. At some point he mentioned having to go up the mast. Does anyone have insight into how a singlehander would go up their mast while at sea? Seems like it would be a shaky operation.
