Linda - Jim....my suggestion would be to use a local sail or boat canvas shop and have them do the measurements and placing of grommets for your boat. A lot would depend how you plan to use the cover, it you want open and closed ends, high enough to get under for shade or low and tight to reduce win...

Typically I use a Whatsit to loosen the Doohickey just a smidge before tapping the Thingamabob with a Wacker. If that doesn't work pry it off with a Whatchamacallit but be careful not to strip the left side Gizmo.

I have a Spartan outboard bracket mounting plate (Spartan Marine part no. P563) mentioned earlier in this post. Not sure if its possible to make something that will work from it. Let me know if you're interested.

Use a short piece of that brass trim on the stern toe rail under the motor mount. Looks great and protects the teak.
