Loose footed on my CD28.
Outhaul runs forward on boom, down to deck and aft to end of coach roof.
Simple, easy, good shape.

Ryan, I've got a `79 CD28. Not even remotely close to what she looked like originally. Set up for long term liveaboard sailing for one or two adults. If you want pictures, etc, pm me. I also installed a Lavac, with a stainless vent on the face of the raised area, about where the bolt is in the picture.

Mathilda was built in `79. Holding tank was under v-berth; now on port side and above/behind Lavac head with pump directly above on deck.
The thru hull in your first picture - port aft - is for the bilge pump.

For both of my jibs and my Code 0, I used Samson Ultra Lite.
7/16" for the jibs, 3/8" for the Code 0.

Well, you weren't completely clear on the point of "not seeing" vs. "not seeing what you could afford"…. so just thought I'd make sure.
I'd love to have Pete's products on Mathilda. It's very nicely made, but it is pricey.

In my case things were brittle enough that all I had to do was gently twist and rock from below with a pair of vise grips. I wasn’t concerned about marring the tube portion as I knew they were being replaced.
