CD Decal Logo
I've been trying to buy one from the Chandlery, but have received no answer to my inquiry. Are they still available? I want to varnish it into my cockpit table. Thanks.

Changing Oil in Hurth Tranny -Ed Haley
Hi, Ed... This is to verify that the best way (and probably only) way to do this if the tranny is in place, is with a small Jabsco pump inserted in the dipstick hole, like you have been doing. The drain hole at the bottom of the tranny is not accessible in our boats. Even if it were, we run the risk...

Dogs of the CD Fleets
Maybe we can start a thread and exchange tips and experiences and we can all benefit. My Patty comes sailing with me at all times. When under sail, he is attached by a line to a small ring on my traveler and wears his PFD always. He has not gotten used to doing his business on board and we have trie...

Nancy, FYI, my CD-33 does not have a fiberglass shaft log. Instead I have the regular bronze stuff box, that connects to the stern tube with a thick rubber hose. The cutless bearing is inside the stern tube. When at the yard, they used 5200 to seal the stern tube, and then found out they could not a...

Nancy, if I remember correctly you guys just changed to a dry PSY seal to replace the regular bronze stuff box, installed a new cutless bearing and a new ss prop shaft. If the yard who did this work damaged or cracked the hull, they must fix it at their expense. Hold them accountable and fight for y...

Shaft coupler
Brian... here is a photo of the coupler, shaft and stuffing box. You can see that also on my CD-33 I don't have much room either. But if your coupler has the two side slits where the bolts are, once you remove both side bolts, with a heavy duty screw driver, pry open just a bit those slits... they D...

Bandolera II rafted up with friends for a lazy weekend off the ICW by Ft. Lauderdale. It was blowing too hard on the bay, so we stayed put.
