Re: CD27 for sale
I will be departing St Pete in a few weeks. At this point I am considering brokers offers to relocate and reprice at a level that will include their fee plus my sale price, thus eliminating my ongoing slip/bottom cleaning service/insurance fees/ and calls from dozens of kids looking for a first boat...

Leaking Portlight
AQ year ago I replaced the rubber gasket that goes between the glass and the bronze port fixture. The leak continued. I replaced the gasket again. It still leaked. This time I pulled out the bronze portlight, and plastic covered the hole, power brushed the port hardware and removed the old gasket ma...

I appreciate you reply. I bought an Attwood kit, and after getting it to the boat realized it has 6 ft of little white plastic hose, requires an add on switch, and has little plastic things for through hulls. Then I bought a new house battery, a 500 gal Attwood Automatic, which needs black and white...

Hard Dodger for a CD27
2 or 3 years ago one of the national mag's carried a story with pic's about doing a hard dodger for a CD27. I cut it out and stored it somewhere, but can't find it now. It looked great because they designed the dodger to match the CD body lines. It was written by the couple who did the work on their...

Bilge Pump for a CD27
Currently my only bilge pump is the whaler (manual) in the cockpit. I would like to a install a battery powered pump for those times I am away. Access to the bilge is slight on the 27. What size pump is most effective/efficient considering space available and that it will be connected to the 12 Volt...

Fuel tank cork float repair
The cork float on my fuel tank gage arm chipped on the outer edge, about a 1/8 inch chip. Can epoxy be used to seal it, or will that add too much weight? I am still in PT so 2 of my friends have offered to finish the tank job (I pulled and cleaned it the week before the fall on the boat) and now the...

Replacing Cockpit Locker/Lazererrto Rubber Seals
The rubber(?) sealing material around the cockpit lazarettos is gone.Whatever was been there originally had been replaced at some point with a sticky backed foam rubber stripping  running around the locker opening. In theory, the foam rubber, glued to the base around the locker filled the space...

portlight gasket replacement
The glass looks to be 14 1/2 X 6 on my CD27. Now, If I could remember my high school math from 50 years ago . . . I have 6 ports. But, I think we are talking about two different things. I need the gasket that goes over the inside of the bronze port frame, that the outside of the glass presses against.

Replacing the Portlight gasket on the glass
Does anyone know the actual gasketing number for the roll material from McMasters to replace the gasketing on my portlight glass (CD27)?
I ordered once before but ended up with huge stuff I might use around the cockpit lockets.

pulling the CD27 fuel tank
Thanks or "tanks" to my 7 Seas buddies my tank is out. I had to give up doing it myself because my prosthetic hip caused TOO much pain. You can see it (the tank) on my FB page (lookup as: shipscarver@aol.com, not by my name, and feel free to friend me).
