That was a fantastic albeit brief evening. We have all decided to meet again on the water during the season. Mariners beware!

Congrats on the cd25! - and a curious observation
Congrats on that CD25! She may require a goodly amount of work to get her up to snuff, but at that sale price nobody should ever complain! I noticed that the motor is on a mount hanging from the transom (instead of in the well). I can only guess that this is because that Evinrude 8 might be too big ...

dock
Wouldn't it be simpler and cheaper to just get a cd25 and put it on a mooring? Maybe you should give me your 30 mkII
I'll take that trouble off your hands.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

MH on the dock
Michael,
To be fair. . . you have a MUCH bigger boat. You probably require shore power, fresh water on a regular basis, pumpout etc. .
If I had a 30mkII I would probably also put it on a dock.

Mooring
I had my CD25 on a mooring at City Island the entire time that I owned it. I agree with the early posters. A mooring is the way to go! Provided that the mooring is in good shape, your boat will actually be happier on a mooring than at a slip. I was always told that you want US made chain. there are ...

Well. . .
with the 36, you get higher yard bills, higher slip cost and more bottom paint to buy! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

I was out in lake Montauk yesterday riding my little rocket http://www.flickr.com/photos/heyness/1261490949/ and I saw this beautiful looking boat come in and drop anchor. I made several quick circles around it before I finally decided to inquire with the owner. I yelled over. . "Cape Dory 30 M...

Not the same
Actually the Rhodes of which I speak has nothing to do with O'day (Rhodes 19, Rhodes Mariner etc). I had a 1967 mariner 19. It was a great little centerboard boat. http://www.usmariner.org/ Now Stuart marine bought the molds for that O'day boat and are making their own Rhodes 19. http://www.stuartma...

rhodes
I have a friend who owns one. They certainly seem to be full-featured boats. I have yet to take a spin with him. Perhaps I will bother him for a ride. One thing I did notice, however, is that the boat lists pretty substantially at the mooring with the prescribed outboard attached. I would believe th...

Pacific Northwest!!!
Hey Folks, I just got back from an amazing week in the Pacific Northwest. We chartered a 43' xxx out of Bellingham. That is an amazing cruising ground, and a beautiful respite (mid 70s in the daytime) from the oppressive NY area weather (mid 90s and humid!). I saw a very nice CD27 - Arabesque - as w...

the price
I think that mid teens is more appropriate for an inboard boat (like your 26D) whereas this is an outboard engine boat.
