Re: 100% CD36 Yankee For Sale - Used one northern season

Hello all:

I apologize for not getting back to some people sooner. I was on a long trip and then was overwhelmed by work upon return.

The sail has been sold to the first person who responded.

Thank you for your interest & patience.

100% CD36 Yankee For Sale - Used one northern season

Hello: In the not too distant past we sadly sold our much loved CD36 Evergreen. Since we had always sailed her to "off the beaten track" places we always had a spare Yankee onboard (since the Yankee was our primary sail when cruising). Consequently, we have our spare Yankee for sale. Deta...

Re: Want to Buy CD 36

Hello & welcome Kailua Kid:

Interesting coincidence because Mahalo is the name of a CD36 in this association.

Good luck in your search.

Pro's & Con's of a Cape Dory MKII

Hello all: As some of you may know we previously owned CD36 Evergreen. However, we sold our much loved boat and are now thinking of downsizing to a boat less than or equal to 30 feet. Since our Cd36 served us well I have been looking at the Cape Dory 30 MKII. Can anyone give me any pro's or con's o...

Re: Cape Dory 36 - "Evergreen" Will Be For Sale Upon Our Ret

Hello: We just wanted to let anyone know, who might be interested, that we have just about emptied out s/v Evergreen (CD36) (currently in Harpswell, Maine) and we will be turning her over to a broker (yet to be determined) on Monday, September 17th. We will have to engage the services of a broker b...

Re: Cape Dory 36 - "Evergreen" Will Be For Sale Upon Our Ret

Hello Armond on s/v Kerry Deare: Yes, we have cruised eastern maritime Canada nearly every year, and the wonderful people and nature in the raw have never ceased to amaze us. Deciding to sell Evergreen is one of the saddest things I have done in many, many years. I have devoted 30 years to getting ...

Re: What to do about interior wood around the ports?

Hello Skylark: As you know any work done by a professional yard is going to be ridiculously expensive. That said: We live in Florida and our boat is in Maine, so we must have most of our work done professionally unless we were to decide to spend the entire sailing season working on the boat. Also, ...

Interior finish of 1986 CD36?

Hello:

Does anyone know what types of varnish were originally used on a 1986 Cape Dory 36?

We are preparing to refinish the interior wood and don't have a clue as to what product to use (best and most durable)?

Questions in our mind: Gloss vs Satin; Number of coats; etc..

Thanks,

I wish to confirm that the cabin headliner does not need to be removed (only the inner rails)?

Replacement of external hand-rails on CD36

Hello: Question regarding attachment of external handrails on CD36: Does anyone know how the cabin-top handrails are attached on a Cape Dory 36 (or other size)? More specifically are they through bolted or secured by screws into fiberglass? I am trying to figure out if they can be replaced without ...
