Cape Dory 36 - "Evergreen" Will Be For Sale Upon Our Return

Post by Evergreen »

Good day to all:

I wanted to let anyone know who might be interested that our much loved Cape Dory 36 " - "Evergreen" will be up for sale upon our return to Maine, from this summers cruise to Newfoundland.

She is a solid boat, in top condition, and equipped for cruising. All maintenance and upgrades have always been done professionally.

It was an emotional decision to decide to let her go after 12 years and many long distance cruises, but there are many factors in our personal lives pointing us in that direction.

Upon our return we would be willing to sell her fully equipped and ready for a trip south for the winter, or else we will strip the extra gear, and have her hauled, and stored inside while we list her with a broker.

Please pass this message along to anyone that might be interested. Serious inquires may contact us via this CDSOA message board, Facebook, or philipmerlier at g mail dot com. In the near future we will be on several passages so don't expect quick replies.

Thanks
Philip & Sharon

Hello, Sharon and Philip. Eight years since we cruised "The Rock" together and enjoyed the Newfoundland hospitality. Hope you are well and hope you achieve your goals with the Evergreen.

Hello Armond on s/v Kerry Deare:

Yes, we have cruised eastern maritime Canada nearly every year, and the wonderful people and nature in the raw have never ceased to amaze us.

Deciding to sell Evergreen is one of the saddest things I have done in many, many years. I have devoted 30 years to getting to where we are today and now that we finally have things figured out, and the boat outfitted well, we must give it up. But after much repeated agonizing and deliberation we have decided it is for the best. There are many factors pointing us in that direction. Whoever gets Evergreen will be a very lucky person.

It is very good to hear from you and we send best wishes.

Hello:

We just wanted to let anyone know, who might be interested, that we have just about emptied out s/v Evergreen (CD36) (currently in Harpswell, Maine) and we will be turning her over to a broker (yet to be determined) on Monday, September 17th. We will have to engage the services of a broker because we live in Florida and can not be available to show her.

If someone were to purchase her before the listing we would be happy to throw in the redundant backup gear and spare parts, as well as additional cruising gear. Once she is listed with a broker this offer will no longer be available due to the additional cost of the broker. Being that we would be still be in Maine we would be available to orient the new owner to the operation of the boat and all the equipment.

If you might be interested in her at a later date she will be under contract with a broker while in heated dry storage at Great Island Boat Yard.

Thank you.
