Pro's & Con's of a Cape Dory MKII

Post by Evergreen »

Hello all:

As some of you may know we previously owned CD36 Evergreen. However, we sold our much loved boat and are now thinking of downsizing to a boat less than or equal to 30 feet.

Since our Cd36 served us well I have been looking at the Cape Dory 30 MKII.

Can anyone give me any pro's or con's of the Cape Dory MK II model??? I can find no reviews on the internet so I welcome all opinions.

Thank you very much,
Philip & Sharon

There weren't many of them. Only 31 were ever built. Use the search button for "Macht Nichts". You might find what you're looking for.

Here are some pictures from the 2004 CD rendezvous "race". Michael Heintz owned Macht Nichts back then. In lighter winds Macht Nichts was faster but Mahalo was able to stand up to the heavier winds and we won. That is the only race we were ever in, we decided to quit while we were ahead :-)
