Painting Interior
I used MURALO Acrylic Ultra no primer 5 years ago and it still looks great. Oil (Alkyd) based products are going to yellow. I would recommend this product on anything insid ethe boat.

CD 27 Backstay
Richard
Do you still need the length of a CD 27 back stay. I have my mast in yard and can measure it for you if needed.

Jeff, Good luck. I sold a 17' ODay to buy a CD 25 as well. I enjoyed the 25 and spent a lot of time with my 4 children on it. My son and I found a beat up CD 27 several years ago which I purchased and restored. They are greta boats and will give you unlimited years of faithful service, enjoy. Ed Nor...

Frozen Deck Cap
I had to replace the liner in my above ground pool this summer. I had a lot of screws that would not come out. The guy I hired to install the new liner told me in his 20 years of experience with frozen bolts the best thing to use is automobile anti-freeze. He said he has tried all the magic cures so...

Headliner
Russell I painted the headliner of my CD 27 4 years ago. I cleaned it very well and saned lightly just to make sure all the years of residue were remived. I used Muralo Ultra Waterbore (eggshell) I had the color matched. The boat interior looks like it came out of the showroom. I know there is great...

Netting installation
John I installed the netting on my CD 25 as well. I did not run a lower life line. I used 3 truss head SS sheet metal screws along each toe rail to secure the netting. The netting was installed only as an insurance policy, and to give my wife a comfort level. When you have childern on the boat you s...

I suggest Defender(www.defender.com) for stern rail. I had to replace the bow rail on my boat. Defender sells tops...

Loss coupling nuts
Bill I would recommend castle nuts for this application. These nuts are matched up with bolts that have a hole in the end. When nuts are secure you insert ss aircraft wire through nut and bolt and twist to secure. This prevents the nuts from coming loose. Lock Tite works but it's a bear if you ever ...

Detailing CD
Capt Mike This spring I discovered the miricle cure, we have all been looking for for years. I like my boat to look great, I am anal about clean topsides. My wife recommended I try the Dirt Eraser from Mr. Clean. It is a soft white foam sponge with soem type of cleaningagent and or very very fine ab...

Teak Replacement
Andrew I replaced all the teak on my CD 27 two years ago. The old teak came off easily. Some screws I had to chisel the wood away and use vice grips to remove. I filled in all the old holes with west system. There was no way I was going to line up every hole. I used EPY (e-pay) lumber in place of te...
