Re: Espar Heater in CD36 advice
Hi Rich,
I'm finally getting around to installing my espar heater and have another question for you. Does the hot exhaust from the heater exit your boat on the Port side or through the aft compartment and out through the transom?
Thanks, Randy

Re: Binnacle.com On-line Retailer?
I have dealt with Binnacle both in store (in Halifax, N.S.) and on line and would recommend them without hesitation. All of my online purchases arrived quickly and well packaged and the one online return I had went smoothly as well.

Re: Seized Copper Domestic Water Valve CD31
Hi Bill,
If you easily got the shaft off without damage, simply replacing it should work for you. Make sure you take the shaft with you to the hardware store as there are multiple similar replacements available.
Good Luck,
Randy

Re: Seized Copper Domestic Water Valve CD31
Prior to cutting anything I would attempt to remove the stem valve by loosening the nut that surrounds the stem and try to work the stem off with vice grip pliers. If successful, just take that piece to the hardware store to ensure you get the exact replacement. If not successful, you can always rep...

Re: Midship docking question
The previous owner of our CD36 mounted a large cleat on the deck about 4 inches inside each toerail cleat. This allows us to use the toerail cleat as a chock to guide the lines from the larger cleat through the toerail cleat and fore and aft as required. When I first saw the setup my thought was tha...

Matt,
You may want to send John Ring a PM and ask him about his experience on Rudder/Shoe removal and repair. I'm pretty sure he had a detailed description on his website about it, but can't seem to access it now.

Espar Heater in CD36 advice
Looking for installation advice for an Espar forced air heater on my 1984 CD36. I'm wondering where best to install heater and route ducting/exhaust etc. I seem to remember Russell had detailed his installation on his Lady Pauline website years ago but website is no longer active and my attempts to ...

Re: Why does the manual say I have a slide out berth?
The Origo cover is a little thinner than the one shown in the picture. I'm pretty sure that is the cover for the storage compartment immediately in front of (starboard of...) the stove. My 1982 CD28 had a hinged board exactly like that covering that compartment. Are there screw holes along the long ...

Re: Haul out & proper sling placement
When lifting our previous CD28 with a crane, the operator had a 3 ft. Extension he would add to the rear sling for all full keel boats. Whatever you do, make sure you snugly tie the slings together to prevent them from slipping off the hull.
