CHESAPEAKE BAY CAPE DORIANS

Mad Hatter and crew will be going out next weekend to a destination determined by the wind and weather forecast. Just a few possibilities might be, LaTrappe Creek, Whitehall Bay or somewhere just on the other side of Knapps Narrows. As the forecast develops we will udate the post with more definite ...

Don't know???

Look around the catalogues for some ideas and make me an offer I can't refuse!

They are about four or five years old and come in a completely waterproof case as well.

BOAT STUFF FOR SALE

I recently sold my old jib and staysail to a fellow in Ca. He had purchased an older CD36 and needed to fit it out with some new sails. I also have several other items that I uncovered while digging out the sails......thought someone might be able to use them. Wheel pilot one year old, Fujinon Stabi...

The Weekend

Well we had a great ride over to Oxford on Saturday. The winds were blowing from the northeast or so and we did a trip around the point instead of going thru Knapps. We flew the spinny till we rounded the green at the mouth of the Choptank and did seven knots most of the way over. Very quiet off the...

This Weekend

Will et al: It looks like "Mother Nature" has given us a little respite for Sat & Sun then back into the high nineties on Mon and thru next week. All the more reason to get out on the water and maybe join us in Oxford......the winds look promising and temps in the high 80's. We will be...

this weekend

Will,
It would be nice to see you again.......it's been a season or two since we met up in Broad Creek or wherever it was. The one thing that impressed me most about the northeast fleet is the tight group they are......alwayx getting together and sharing space. They seem to have it together.

Oxford, Md

Hello Fellow CDrs, I would be nice to get together on the water this weekend. Maybe at the "strand" in Oxford, Md. If the weather is nice and the winds allow, the Mad Hatter will be anchored somewhere off the "strand". If you are can make it to Oxford stop by and have a cool one....

hot water heater

I just change mine on my '88 model 36. I think the biggest dimension of the port opening was about 13 1/2". I had to cut the old Raritan 6 gal up to get it out......

Genny Sheets

Warren, WE just leave them in place when using the chute......they do not get in the way of the other sail.....but you need to pay attention when rigging the lines to the chute so as not to get them inside or tangled with the headsail sheets....... "Keep it simple" Back in very hot and hum...

The Mad Hatter is back in her slip

What a wonderfull two weeks we had aboard the Hatter back in our home waters of New England/NY. And what nice people we met at the 4th of July gathering. Thanks to all who made us feel welcome and part of the fleet. And a special thanks Cathy and Bruce for their extra effort in making the gathering ...

Mad Hatter Return Trip

To All, We've had a fabulous trip so far. Weather has been fine and winds favorable. CD36 Saile

I still have the original main that I used for about ten years. It was cleaned repaired and put in the bag about six or seven years ago and hasn't been out since. Also have the original yankee in the same state and the staysail too. If you have any interest just email me at hatter11@comcastnet. David

fuel tank for 36

Bob,
I changed my fuel tank two years ago on my 36. It had to be removed from the bilge by cutting the floor. If you want any more info on who what and where just send me an email and I will give you the benefit of my ordeal. hatter11@comcast.net
