CD30 Topside Paint for Non-skid?

Post by Ed Carlson »

Our '80 CD30 Ketch needs re-painting of non-skid. It appears that Interlux Bristol Beige may be the best color match. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have a CD 27 and that is what I used. I also used sand to give the non skid a boost.

Richard,

How is that sand to kneel on, or worse yet, to fall on? Seems like that abrasive could do a lot of damage to knees, hands or (heavens forbid) faces.

A bit lighter is hatteras offwhite. Big advantage in heat if you sail in the sun. I can walk barefoot on offwhite. Could not with original color. Should keep it cooler below. Add the non skid and possibly the flattener so it doesn't glare. Brightsides 1 part works well and is less difficult than the 2 part paint.
