Have a 1989 flybridge cruiser that has aluminum window frame corrosion. Seems like this is a common problem. Has anyone found a good solution or repair for this?
Are the window frames readily removable for refinishing?
What is involved in disassembly?
What should be used to clean, prime and refinish the frames?
Thanks,
Roy

Re: CD28 Powerboat Window Frame Corrosion
Roy: The frames are hard (not impossible) to remove. You can have then painted with Awlgrip. Awlgrip has a step by step process to paint aluminum. Most boat co.have gone to this.
Good luck,
