Typical price for bottom paint?

Post by wjgray3 »

What is the typical price for a bottom paint job?
I'm in Texas, and I need the old bottom paint removed, and new coats applied.
Excluding the price of the paint, what is the labor cost for a CD27 approximately?
Anybody have recent experience?
Would it include painting a new waterline stripe?

Thanks. I'd appreciate a sampling of costs across the country.

If you haven't had a barrier coat installed under your bottom paint, this may be a good time to do it. Costs quite a bit more, but if you roll on the 6 or so coats yourself (after having the bottom stripped and sanded) it will keep costs down.

Cheers!

barrier coats are dependent on the bottom being bone dry. any moisture in the fiberglass will produce blisters in the epoxy later on.
