This, oddly, gave me time to think about what "Cape Dory yachts" really have meant to me. My first "Cape Dory", was a CD Typhoon on Lake Sunapee, in New Hampshire. The very first sail provided some gusty winds that sent most sail boats to their beams. Not on my typhoon, she just put her bow to the wind and said "not me"!! I am a Cape Dory. Carl Alberg knew how to build a yacht. My 5th Cape Dory, a CD36, is NO different.
I have met so amazing people thru my years with Cape Dory. Org. Brian and Debbie Carrol on Solmar, Dave Bradbury and his daughter Christina, Jim Walsh, Don and Pat Wass, Steve Laume and his amazing sailing around New Foundland, Canada, Leo and Ruth McDonald, with their post meetings
