That's accurate. Fortunately, NHC/NOAA projects it to remain a rain event only. Fingers crossed.

Looks like NOLA is going to get A LOT of rain and wind gusts from TD Beta. Stay safe.

Breaking records can be fun... but not this one!
2005 had the most named storms so far recorded (28, 15 which became hurricanes).
The last was Zeta at the end of December.
However, we are currently on track to "possibly" blow that record off the books!
In 2005 Rita ran from 9/18~9/26, then Stan, Tammy, Vince, Wilma, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon & Zeta...
We are already at Beta in mid September.

Roberto,

Is the hair on your neck laying down again?

I don't see ANYTHING in the tropics right now.

I'm not missing following NHC bulletins.

Captain Hook and Mike:

I can't even get a haircut let alone shave my neck. :( :(

Sadly, I think it may be too soon to break out the champagne bottles (or Guinness bottles  ) We still technically have 2 months to go. Historically, October is almost as "active" as August. Fingers crossed.
Fair winds,

This is a very nice aerial photo with excellent resolution. The words are also very soothing, even if only temporary. :(

Yep, here we go again :( :( :(

Like I said back on 24 September, October is as dangerous as August. Once a system forms in that area it is almost a 100% guarantee to hit land - somewhere. This year it looks like La., Miss., Al., and the panhandle of Florida are Mother Nature's chosen sites.

This s**t is getting old.
The only good thing is if we're in the bull's eye five days out, there's a good chance it won't hit us and will go somewhere else.
