Yes, I acknowledge my neck hairs are at fault. I apologize.
I have some potentially bad news for Florida, including Miami and Niceville.
My intelligence sources report that Jim Cantore (Weather Channel) has booked rooms in Miami and Pensacola for the next two (2) weeks.
If anyone can turn a rainstorm into a hurricane while "on air" it's Jimmy C.
Mike, as I am sure you know, NHC/NOAA is still not good at projecting wind speed/strength along a given path. TD 19 could easily escalate to a TS or H once it gets in the warm Gulf waters and before it reaches the Panhandle.
It looks like most of La. is going to get drenched - exactly what they do not need right now.
We have that same TD 19 approaching us this weekend. It may well be a TS upon reaching Miami. It's at 35 mph right now. Is that why Jimmy C. booked rooms or is it the one still near the Cape Verdes

there is another storm coming from African coast next week but the GFC model shows it turning north before hitting any islands or east coast. it may affect Bermuda. here's hoping the season is over after that

Like Mike said. It looks like Sally will pass over New Orleans area as either a very strong TS or a Cat. 1 hurricane but it's still several hundred miles away in warm Gulf water so anything is possible. If accurate, that is bad news for our friend Captain Hook as it means he will get even more of the "dirty side" of TS (soon to be H) Sally which has the potential to increase to a Cat.2 at time of landfall. Sadly, Sally has the potential to be far worse than Laura, which was bad enough.
What is it this year with girl names
- Paulette, Rene, Laura, Sally. 
Conversely, it does bode a little better for our friend Mike near Pensacola. Trade offs, always trade offs.

Sally is going to be a pain. While we're forecast for TS winds, the rainfall predictions are huge.
Back in 1995, Opal was my "welcome back to Florida" hurricane in early October. This year we're not quite half way thru September and watching Sally with strong possibility to see Teddy and maybe even Vickie before October gets here.

TS Vicky just formed and was named and there is another system pushing off the West coast of Africa today
