Typhoon spreader tip

I have recently purchased a Typhoon. On inspection of the spreaders I noticed that the tips (where the shrouds insert) have some free-play between them and the spreader tube. Is this to be expected, or will I need to replace the spreaders? Thanks

It's a pretty basic set up. Mine just has a kotter pin holding the shroud in place in the spreader tube. It locks down though when you prpoerly tension the rig.
