Dyneema continuous loop safety line

This is project for which you may find an application specific to your needs.
The air vanes on my self steering gear are attached with a simple compression fitting. There is a hole in the air vane which is an attachment point for a safety line. I recently had the compression fitting loosen, the safety line failed to live in to its name, and my air vane is riding the Gulf Stream to the British Isles. It was time for a better mousetrap.
I had some left over Dyneema (Amsteel) and a couple bronze snap hooks so I decided to use a continuous loop to improve upon the offending safety line. The following photos illustrate my project.

There are many practical uses for a continuous loop. I use them as tack pendants on my headsails and several other uses aboard.
