As you know, I have a lot of respect for your judgment, experience and expertise. However, I think twin 50s is probably a little too much weight forward (even with the primary anchor on the stern). I have been thinking of modifying the forward deck to accept a single .50 with a modified tripod platform. If I recall correctly, that is going to be about 128 -130 lbs.

And the good news is its all AMERICAN MADE :!: :D :D

Hi Roberto,

My boat had a Schaefer anchor bracket like the one you were considering when I first purchased it. It worked adequately, but looked cheap, and I removed it after the first season.

I've been looking at this Mantus anchor bracket:

For what it's worth, I agree with others who don't like the idea is of running the rode fro stem to stern outside the lifelines.
