New Hatch Rails
Finally had it with my cracking weak hatch rails. Got some plastic teak and made a new pair. Installed an aluminum slider in the slot. Pretty nifty.

Nice neat job. Wish I had your woodworking skills. My hatch rails are not necessarily worn from use just from previous owners having sanded the daylights out of them. I keep them well varnished.

A friend of mine is a master wood worker. I just give him the material and he works his majic. I removed the old rails and gave them to him and he made them. I just caukled an screwed them down.
