typhoon compression post

Post by Dick Villamil »

I used a 12" piece of all-thread (3/4") but should have used a 24" section to avoid "canting". There are 2 sections of stainless 1" tubing to act as the post. The nuts are threaded in place with a large washer - these can be adjusted to elevate the post to prevent cabin and deck sagging. This has worked fine for the past 5 or 6 years and is completely removable in case I want to do an overnight. Total cost was approx. $50 - $60 and no holes were cut in cabin floor liner or in board that is used to hide the porta potty whenever I decide to take it along. The concept was adapted from a previous post on this board.
