Cuppa

Post by David van den Burgh »

A Sunday morning cup of coffee turned into a how-to blog entry about brewing a good cuppa joe aboard. If you're ready to get serious about your coffee while cruising (or at home), here's the link.

"Approximately 170 degrees" If you really cared, you would be more precise.

Fine, 170-175 exactly. How's that? But seriously, there's better crema at 170 than 175. Your results may vary. No good deed goes unpunished, huh? Or else I need the aid of the new sarcasm icon that I hear is out there for a 1.99 download.

No comment on beans - but this method cannot be beat for simplicity

I also have an Aeropress and it does make great coffee. I'm not to high tech on the temperature. I just heat the water to boiling shut the heat off let the pot sit for 10-15 seconds then pour it into the press. My only complaint with this method is it seems to use more coffee beans per cup of coffee.

I normally drink espresso though and grind my beans with a kyocera CM 45 CF grinder and use my little 3 cup stove top pot.
